Unprepared: Will we be ready for the megaquake?

ASCE members and local engineers were featured in the OPB/Oregon Field Guide documentary highlighting seismic engineering and infrastructure efforts to prepare for Cascadia here in Oregon. Join the ASCE Oregon Section for an informational fair and screening of Unprepared

When: Thursday October 15th
Time: Informational fair starting at 6:00 pm. Unprepared will show at 7:00 pm A Q&A with a panel of local engineers will follow the show.

EPA Rainworks Challenge

The EPA RainWorks Challenge is a competition for universities nationwide to design green infrastructure for campus spaces. This year we will be designing a green stormwater management system for the Nueberger Hall. The deliverables are two design boards and a narrative. There are cash prizes and grant opportunities for the winning submissions. We are looking for members of engineering, science and architecture disciplines. Meeting times will be every Wednesday at 3:50-5:00 in the CEE Conference Room.

T-Shirts will be available for pick up at our General Meeting 10/8/2015. Cash payment for the exact amount will be required at time of pick up. If you cannot make it to the General Meeting on 10/8/2015, pickups can be scheduled by appointment by emailing Rachel Fast at We currently have 1 XL, 4 L, 8 M, and 10 S shirts on hand. Sizes are on a first come, first serve basis. If you order a shirt and we do not have the size available, a shirt will be ordered for you. Pick-ups will be scheduled once the shirt arrives.

Interested in attending Meet A Civil Engineer Day at Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls on Saturday Nov. 7th? We are taking a couple vans down to this great networking event!
